Privacy Policy

Effective date: September 10, 2026

1. Overview

Annuity Educator provides free educational tools that help you compare annuity products. This policy explains what we collect when you use those tools, why we collect it, and who we share it with. It applies to this website only.

This policy covers annuityeducator.com and any other site or landing page we operate under the Annuity Educator name. It does not cover what the licensed insurance agent does with your details after we introduce you — that agent is an independent business with its own privacy policy.

The short version: if you ask us for a proposal, we pass your details to a licensed insurance agent who will contact you. That agent is one of the licensed agents contracted with Dreamstone Group. Before that, a member of our team will call you to understand your situation. We are a licensed insurance producer entity, not an insurance company: we do not underwrite insurance and we do not issue contracts. Annuities are issued by the carrier named in the contract you are offered.

Who we are. Annuity Educator is a trade name of Dreamstone Group LLC, a Nevada limited liability company at 6960 Smoke Ranch Road, Suite 190, Las Vegas, NV 89128. In this policy, "we", "us" and "our" mean Dreamstone Group LLC.

Notice at collection. California and several other states require us to tell you what we collect and why at the point we ask for it. In summary: we collect the identifiers and retirement-planning details in Section 2 so we can generate your comparison, call you to understand your situation, prepare a proposal, and introduce you to a licensed agent; we keep them for the periods in Section 7; we do not sell your personal information for money; and we do share website activity with advertising platforms as described in Section 3, which counts as "sharing" or a "sale" under some state laws. Section 6 sets out your choices.

2. Information You Give Us

Depending on which tool you use, we ask for some or all of the following:

  • Your name, email address and telephone number, when you request a proposal.
  • Your ZIP code, which we use to determine your state for quoting.
  • Your age or age range, gender, marital status, and whether you have retired.
  • What you are trying to achieve, and the amount of savings you are considering.
  • Your monthly household expenses and guaranteed income, if you use the paycheck tool.

Why we ask for it. We use these details to generate your comparison or estimate, to call you to understand your situation, to prepare a proposal, to introduce you to a licensed agent, to keep the records we are required to keep as a licensed insurance producer, and to meet our other legal obligations. We do not use them for an unrelated purpose without telling you first.

What we never ask for. You do not need to give us a Social Security number, a driver's license number, or a bank or brokerage account number to use any tool on this site. Please do not send them to us.

3. Information Collected Automatically

When you visit, we and our providers collect:

  • Usage analytics, including pages viewed and how far through a tool you progressed.
  • Session recordings of how you move through the tools. Text you type into form fields is masked. Recordings are made by PostHog on our behalf. Masking covers what you type; a recording still shows the pages you saw, the options you chose, and your approximate location from your IP address.
  • Advertising identifiers, including cookies set by Meta and Google, and click identifiers passed in the web address when you arrive from an advertisement.
  • The campaign that referred you, the page you arrived on, the site you came from, your IP address and your browser type.

We keep the campaign details on your record so we know which advertisement brought you to us.

Cookies and similar technologies. We and the platforms named above set cookies, pixels and similar identifiers on your device. You can control them through your browser settings.

What this means under state privacy law. Sharing your activity on this site with Meta and Google so we can measure our advertising and show ads to you and to people like you is "targeted advertising", and is treated as a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information under the California, Colorado, Connecticut, Texas and several other state privacy laws — even though no money changes hands for your details. Section 6 explains how to opt out.

4. How We Share Your Information

  • Licensed insurance agents. When you request a proposal, we pass your details to a licensed agent so they can prepare it and contact you. That agent is one of the licensed agents contracted with Dreamstone Group. We pass each request to one agent only. We do not sell your details to the agent, we do not send the same request to a panel of agents, we do not sell it to a lead marketplace or aggregator, and we do not receive a payment in exchange for your personal information.
  • Our own team. A member of our team, or a contractor acting for us, will call you to understand your situation before we introduce you to an agent. They see the details you gave us. That call is recorded — see Section 5.
  • Annuities Genius. The agent enters your details into Annuities Genius, a technology platform we provide to our agents, to research annuity products and prepare your proposal. Annuities Genius uses a third-party artificial intelligence provider, Anthropic, to help process that information and generate the proposal report, under a written agreement that prohibits the provider from using your information to train its models. Annuities Genius may use your information only to perform that work for us.
  • Advertising and analytics platforms. We share activity on this site with platforms such as Meta and Google so we can measure our advertising and show ads to people like you.
  • Service providers. Companies that host our site, send our email, record our calls and store our records on our behalf. They may use your information only to perform that work for us.
  • Carriers, where you apply. If you apply for an annuity, the agent will give the issuing carrier the information the application requires, which may include the proposal prepared from your details.
  • Legal and safety. We may disclose information where the law requires it, to respond to a lawful request from a regulator, court or law enforcement agency, to enforce our terms, or to protect our rights or someone's safety.
  • Business transfers. If the business or this service is sold, merged or reorganized, records may transfer to the buyer as part of that transaction. We will require the buyer to honor this policy, or give you notice and a choice first.
  • Aggregated and de-identified information. We may publish or share statistics about how the tools are used that cannot reasonably be used to identify you.

We do not sell your personal information for money, and we do not disclose it to anyone other than the recipients listed above.

5. Being Contacted By Phone, Text Or Email

When you give us your telephone number and tick the consent box, you give your prior express written consent for Annuity Educator and for the licensed insurance agent we introduce you to, to contact you at that number and at the email address you gave us, about annuity products and the proposal you asked for. That contact may be by live telephone call, by prerecorded or artificial voice message, by an automatic telephone dialing system, by text message and by email. Calls to understand your situation before we introduce you to an agent are made by our own team or by a contractor acting for us.

Consent is not a condition of purchase. You do not have to agree to be contacted to use any tool on this site, and you are never required to buy anything. If you would rather not be called, use the tools without giving us a telephone number.

Text messages. Message frequency varies and depends on what you asked us about. Message and data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help and STOP to stop.

How to withdraw consent. You may withdraw consent at any time by any reasonable means: reply STOP to a text, use the unsubscribe link in an email, tell the caller to stop calling, or write to us using the details in Section 10. We will act within ten business days and pass your request to the agent we introduced you to. You may still receive one message confirming the opt-out.

Do Not Call registries. If your number is on the federal or a state Do Not Call list, the consent above still permits us and the agent to contact you. Withdrawing that consent stops it.

Calls are recorded. Calls between you and our team, and between you and the agent we introduce you to, are recorded for quality, training and compliance purposes. You will be told at the start of each call that it is being recorded. If you do not want a call recorded, say so and the call will end; you can still use every tool on this site. Recordings are kept as part of your record for the periods in Section 7.

6. Your Choices And Rights

We give everyone who uses this site the choices and rights below, wherever you live in the United States, rather than only to residents of states whose laws require them.

Marketing contact. To stop calls, texts and emails, use any of the routes in Section 5.

Targeted advertising, and "sale" or "sharing". You can tell us to stop sharing your activity with advertising platforms for targeted advertising. Contact us using the details in Section 10 and we will stop.

Your rights over your information. You may ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you and how we use it; give you a copy in a portable form; correct it if it is wrong; delete it; or stop using it for profiling or targeted advertising. Where we are required by law to keep a record — see Section 7 — we will tell you, and we will delete what we are not required to keep.

How to make a request. Email [email protected], or write to Dreamstone Group LLC, 6960 Smoke Ranch Road, Suite 190, Las Vegas, NV 89128. We will acknowledge your request and respond within 45 days. If we need longer we will tell you why, and we may take up to 45 more days.

Verification. We will ask for enough information to be satisfied you are who you say you are — usually the email address or telephone number you gave us. We will not ask for more than we need, and we will not use what you give us for verification for anything else.

Authorized agents. Someone else may make a request on your behalf if they give us written permission signed by you, or a power of attorney. We may still contact you to confirm.

If we say no. If we refuse your request we will tell you why. You can ask us to reconsider by replying to the same address, and we will respond within 45 days. If you are still not satisfied, you can complain to your state Attorney General, or in California to the California Privacy Protection Agency.

No penalty for asking. We will not deny you a service, charge you a different price, or give you a lower level of service because you exercised any of these rights.

7. How Long We Keep Information

  • Where you buy an annuity — the intake details, the proposal request, the recordings of your calls with us and the agent, and the disclosures made to you: six years after the transaction is completed, as the records we keep as a licensed insurance producer.
  • Where you do not buy — the details you gave us, the proposal request, the recordings of your calls and the record of your consent to be contacted: five years from our last contact with you, then deleted or de-identified.
  • Website analytics: 14 months retention period set in our analytics account.
  • Session recordings: 90 days.
  • Records of consent and of opt-out requests: for as long as we need them to show we honored your choice, which may be longer than the periods above.
  • We may keep information for longer where the law requires it, or where we need it for a legal claim.

8. Children's Privacy

These tools are intended for adults planning for retirement. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of anyone under 16. If you believe someone under 18 has given us their details, contact us using the details in Section 10 and we will delete the record.

9. Security

We use reasonable safeguards to protect the information we hold, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure. We maintain a written information security program as a licensed insurance producer. In practice that means access to lead records is limited to the people who need it, lead records and call recordings are held on access-controlled storage, and our providers are bound by contract to protect what we send them. If a security breach affects your information, we will notify you and the regulators where the law requires us to.

10. Changes And Contact

Changes. We may update this policy. When we do, we will change the effective date at the top. If a change materially affects how we use information we already hold, we will post notice on the site before it takes effect, and email you where we hold your address. As a licensed insurance producer we will also give you a revised notice, and an opportunity to object, before we use your information for a purpose the notice you received did not cover.

Contact us. Privacy questions and requests: [email protected]. By post: Dreamstone Group LLC, dba Annuity Educator, 6960 Smoke Ranch Road, Suite 190, Las Vegas, NV 89128.

Accessible format. If you need this policy in a format you can use more easily, contact us and we will provide one.

Governing law. This policy is governed by the law of the State of Nevada, and disputes are handled as set out in Section 9 of our Terms of Service.

11. Our Privacy Notice As A Licensed Insurance Producer

Because we are a licensed insurance producer entity, federal and state insurance privacy law also applies to the information you give us in connection with an annuity. That information is treated as nonpublic personal information. We collect it for the purposes in Section 2, we disclose it only to the recipients in Section 4, and we disclose it to the licensed agent, to Annuities Genius and to a carrier in order to carry out the proposal and application you asked for. We do not disclose it to anyone outside those purposes without giving you notice and an opportunity to object first. We will send you this notice when you ask to be contacted, and again if our practices change.

12. How This Policy Works With Our Terms Of Service

This policy forms part of our Terms of Service. Section 5 of those terms covers being contacted by phone, text and email and says the same thing as Section 5 here. Section 9 of those terms covers disputes, including arbitration.

13. Third-Party Links

This site links to carriers, agents and other third parties. We do not control their sites and this policy does not apply to them. Read their policies before giving them your details.

14. Where This Service Is Available

These tools are intended for people in the United States. We do not offer them to people in the European Union, the United Kingdom or other regions with their own data protection regimes, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

15. Sensitive Information

Some of what you tell us — your age, whether you have retired, the savings you are considering and your monthly expenses — is financial information you may consider sensitive. We use it only to produce your comparison and your proposal and to keep the records we are required to keep. We do not use it to infer characteristics about you, and we do not disclose it except as Section 4 describes.
